The franchise ZGZ Alquila contacts again CRONOTOPOS to refurbish an old store with the ambition of creating a new open and simple environment in which to develop a new activity in a new TOPOS.

The refurbishment project required two main sub-areas, both housed on the first floor in the same open space but clearly distinguished. The first one, next to the entrance, includes a waiting area for customers with a table next to the shop window where you can see the different properties available, as well as all its activities.

It is here, at the entrance threshold, where there is a small band composed of boulders where a series of selected plants (Ficus Lyrata and Strelitzia reginae) appear as if they were sculptures, due to their slenderness and size.

Next to it, we find the reception and work area, diaphanous in its entirety, which has a work space for office workers where they can receive customers.

The renovation project shows special interest in lighting, generating a diaphragm through a succession of vertical luminaires that run along the right wall until they reach the end of the room, where they return to the back wall to continue with the lighting and integrate the warehouse door.

Axonometry of the assembly

This diaphragm appears as a skin that joins the space, composed of translucent corrugated polycarbonate backlit by vertical luminaires. It is this skin that gives character to the workers’ space, generating a spatial continuity in the premises.

In this way we get a duality of environments, where the brightest area is the served area, where the activity takes place, as opposed to the serving area located on the left side of the premises, being darker, where the services appear as the stairs to climb to the mezzanine.
